While times are tough, a down economy can actually be a good time for entrepreneurs. This morning, KSDK News Channel 5 emphasized this point and had successful business owners on the air, sharing advice for starting a business. The station continued the story online, having three people who have successfully started their own businesses share great advice for others who are hoping to do the same.
I thought I’d chime in and add a few thoughts of my own with regards to IT/technology services based on Datotel’s offerings for people looking to start their own business or for those looking to take their business to the next level during these trying times:
§ Outsourced IT solutions and resources allow you to reduce your Total Cost of Ownership of your IT and extend your capabilities without having to add employees or other IT resources.
§ As Andy Belval pointed out in his March 5th blog posting, making sure your information is protected is essential in the prevention of any disruptions in business operations caused by your IT infrastructure and applications. At Datotel, we have an award-winning IT and security monitoring platform and we’re dedicated to deliver superior proactive monitoring services for our customers.
§ Server colocation reduces exposure to risk and provides a reliable platform for business continuity.
§ Insourcing allows you to experience a reduction in IT costs through optimal resource allocation.
What advice (IT or otherwise) would you offer to people looking to start their own business?
